Privacy
The short version: this site doesn’t track you, doesn’t sell anything and doesn’t ask for your details. Here’s the longer version.
This is the personal website of Ed Goodman, based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. I’m responsible for any personal information this site handles. If you have a question about it, email [email protected].
Very little. There are no contact forms, no newsletter sign-ups, no comment boxes, and no analytics or advertising trackers.
Like almost every website, the server keeps standard technical logs (things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited) so the site can run and stay secure. These are kept for a short time and aren’t used to identify you.
A few services help the site work, and they see some technical information when you visit:
The site doesn’t set tracking cookies. WordPress only sets cookies if someone logs in to manage the site, and that’s just me.
I’ll use your email address and whatever you send me to reply to you, and nothing else. I won’t add you to a mailing list or pass your details on. I keep emails only as long as the conversation is useful.
This site links to places like YouTube, Spotify, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky and Threads. Once you click through, their privacy policies apply, not this one.
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email me. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
If anything here changes, I’ll update this page. Last updated 31 October 2026.
