You join me at the stage of my journey where I am part of a world-class team providing a proven, results-driven alternative to university education and corporate training. In my role, I’m coaching a cohort of inspiring and driven young people on their journey toward their Digital Business Apprenticeship, and becoming the future leaders I’m sure they will be.
Most of my professional life has been training, developing, and coaching, supporting start-ups, freelancers, marketing departments, contact centres, retail banking, customer service teams, and and now career-starter apprenticeships.
While most of my coaching now takes place over Zoom and Teams, over the years my training has taken place across the UK, as well as the US, Netherlands, and the Middle East.
I have also delivered keynote speeches, training sessions, and presentations at the MADE Festival, Business Start-Up Show, The Guardian Masterclasses, Pure London Fashion Event, Freelance Heroes Day, and other in-house and external events.
My 3 proudest moments of my professional life have been:
1. Co-Founding the Freelance Heroes community, which is a platform that brings UK freelancers together to help support each other while on their own journey to success.
2. Being named “Ambassador of the Year” in 2019 by IPSE (Assoc. of Independent Professionals and Self-Employed) for the positive impact of the Freelance Heroes community, and
3. Having “New Business, Next Steps – The all-in-one guide to managing, marketing, and growing your small business book” published by Pearson Education
Finally, I am a trustee for CALMtown, which connects the people of St Ives, Cambs to develop a community-led approach to mental health, an FA Licensed football coach (and put this into practice by coaching grassroots football at U8 – U16 age groups), and support several local charities.
If you really want to grab my attention, then my favourite word is “Incandescent”.
